APRIL 2009 AUTO INSURANCE CHANGES: It has been one year since Massachusetts auto rates became competitive. In that year we have seen many carriers amend their rates and add creative discounts to assist in reducing your auto insurance cost. Out of State and Internet carriers advertise heavily when they first enter a market. These types of companies boast low initial premiums but, historically, have raised prices dramatically soon after entering a new region. In these difficult economic times, price is always a factor but consider service and financial stability when you make your choice. New insurers cannot provide the level of service that you expect as they are unfamiliar with Registry requirements and have no local claims presence.
